HARVEST WALK
The Harvest Walk was a prayer walk through Immanuel Church's property. I created an interactive weaving that encouraged participants to focus on thankfulness and grace in their life.
“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:14-16
Weavings can be mysterious pieces of art. The movement of thread, over and under, reveals a pattern or a texture. If you’ve ever noticed, the back of a weaving looks different from the front, like a hidden story that was told without anyone even noticing.
Grace can be like that sometimes. We aren’t always able to see God’s plan, but it’s still there. Our reality might look very different than the work that God is doing behind the scenes. Think about the day when your life will be complete, like taking a weaving off the loom, turning it over to see God’s final masterpiece. It takes a lot of trust and patience but ultimately leads to something beautiful.

Take a gold ribbon and weave it through the trees. As you do this, pray for God’s grace in your life. Even if you don’t see it right now, ask God to help you trust Him.
